How HMW uses TikTok

Login Kit	user.info.basic	Reads your open ID, display name and profile photo. The name and photo are shown on the upload page so you know which account will receive the post. The open ID links your connection to your HMW settings.
Content Posting API	video.publish	Sends the video, caption and privacy choice you approved to your TikTok account.

Rules HMW follows

• The upload page shows your TikTok account name before you publish.
• You choose the caption, hashtags and who can view each post. Nothing is pre-filled without your edit.
• HMW does not add watermarks, logos or promotional text to your content.
• Nothing is posted until you press publish.
• If TikTok returns an error, HMW shows it to you instead of hiding it.
• Tokens are used only to publish your approved post and to read your name and photo.

Private posts until audit

TikTok requires apps that have not passed its audit to publish as private only. Until that is finished, posts made through HMW are visible only to you. We will not change this ourselves.
